Summers are great for getting out to the Beach. Enjoying the sunny weather, the ocean, and sea breeze. But there is no reason why we cannot make our beach day productive for our health and beauty, no? Make it a "two for one." Why not turn a beautiful and relaxing day at the beach into a beauty treat for your skin and body?First off, ocean salt water is great for skin. It is filled with trace minerals, heals scars, acne while toning, detoxifying and reducing cellulite. I like to open my eyes under the water to brighten the whites of my eyes.Next, sand, natures exfoliant, and there is tons of it. Lay back, relax and rub sand on your legs for silky smooth skin. now rub softly because sand particles can be pretty harsh. The great thing about it is that it is all natural and plentiful. Exfoliation removes dead skin cells taking off dull skin and revealing glowing, new and healthy skin. Plus exfoliation can help speed up the cell renewal process of the skin, keeping you more smooth, soft and youthful.Seaweed, it might sound gross, but I collect seaweed from the ocean and rub it on my face and body. Sometimes I will even make a mask out of a bunch of pieces and lay out in the sun with it on letting it dry. You can make a mask for parts of your body in need of extra care as well. Seaweed it amazing for your skin. It is a great anti-bacterial agent. This makes it great as an acne remedy. it is a natural detoxifying agent which draws out toxins. At the same time your body will absorb the last nutrients from the seaweed through your pores. It also promotes circulation and is naturally an amazing antioxidant. Packed with amino acids, vitamins and minerals seaweed promotes tissue regeneration activities in the skin to create skin elasticity. It is even known to balance hormonal levels when used as an external agent. Due to seaweed's lipids and proteins it has the unique ability to deeply moisturize, even the driest skin, without clogging pores or being greasy. It can do this because of its smaller nourishing molecules which can penetrate the cell wall. It is an anti-inflammatory which promotes firmness and radiant skin.Walking or running on the sand, this is great for your body. Exercise on the sand is far more challenging then on flat land. Walking or running on the sand helps to define leg muscles and works your entire body. Plus you will develop muscles that running on flat land in sneakers will not, ankles, lower calfs and arches are targeted with sand running. Sand running is a great practice for developing great balance. Without even realizing it you will improve you balance. unlike running on concrete, running on sand is easy on your joints. And, you will sweat more and burn way more calories. The beach can make a great beauty day, but please remember to protect your skin with sunblock, especially your face, and especially, especially around your eyes. I recommend a mineral sunblock, less chemicals and better for your skin. Also do not forgot to drink loads of water at the beach. This will not only prevent dehydration but is also great for your skin.
